![]() ![]() Just seems like a bummer there is this interesting setting from 20 years ago and.that's it, there's nothing else out there going more into it. This is a great idea I asked him if he has the game already in twitter - got a reply. I Neal has a gog account I'd gift it just to watch the run. Well, the story of The Nameless One is complete, but all the other stories in the setting sure aren't. I just started watching Neal's run of BG does anyone else think he should try Planescape: Torment, personally of all the Black Isle DnD based games it is my favorite. People say that Planescape Torment doesn't need a prequel/sequel because the game's story is complete. There's a bunch of D&D universe games, Warhammer has dozens of games, and Planescape's one game is a critical success classic. Then I looked around to see if any games had been made in the last 20 years further going into this interesting setting, and it looks like there's not a single one. I looked it up and see it's completely unrelated in universe and more just a spiritual successor of the style. I hadn't paid much attention to Torment: Numenera since Planescape Torment was still sitting in my backlog, but I'd always thought it was another game set in the Planescape universe with a different cast and was interested to see what it was about now that I finished this. But the game only briefly interacts with some of this stuff (for instance I thought The Lady of Pain was going to be the final boss and the ending would be about breaking Sigil from its cage in the multiverse, since some of the conversations leading up to the endgame talked about that). The bits that the game touched on like Sigil and The Lady of Pain, the Blood War, these various planes of existence co-existing and things like Curst sliding between them were interesting. As much as I enjoyed the character story, I find the setting much more interesting. I just finished Planescape Torment for the first time (yeah, I know lttp, it's been in my backlog for 20 years).
